UTM seals exchange pact with British varsity

JOHOR BARU: Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) students will get a chance to experience campus life at a British university through a student exchange programme. The programme will enable them to study at the University of Kent for one to three years.“It is a good way for our students to experience the life and culture of an overseas university.“We will sending the first batch of students in 2010,’’ said Prof Dr Noor Aini Abdul Rashid, UTM’s dean of the Biosciences and Bioengineering Faculty. She said the programme would kick off with undergraduates from the faculty.

Dr Noor Aini, representing UTM, signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the programme with Prof Alex Hughes of the University of Kent at a ceremony here recently. She said the programme was an effort to enhance collaboration between the two universities.
